How often do I need to replace my blanket, door & window gasket?

Not all wood stoves have a blanket.  Country stoves and Pacific Energy Stoves do have this type of insulation with their stoves; the purpose of a blanket keeps the hot air in the firebox and in the house.  Blankets, window and door gasket should be replaced approximately every three years.  You can loose between 30%-60% of your heat from your stove.  This type of maintenance will allow your stove to run more efficiently and in turn heat your home.
